Each week during the swimming season, the state-accredited Garden State Laboratories in Hillside, NJ, tests the water in Graydon Pool, Ridgewood, NJ. The report from August 25, 2009, at right, shows a very low fecal coliform count (less than 10 parts per billion).
Graydon’s bacterial counts are consistently low—many times cleaner than required by law.
In addition, other tests performed and monitored by the Ridgewood’s Parks & Recreation and Health Departments are scrutinized to ensure healthy conditions during the summer.
